We look at all ideas and asses your requirements

An invitation is sent for an online or studio consultation 

STEP 2

Online consultation

Using google meet to discuss ideas, dates and fees.  Please have any reference images ready to share 

Studio consultation

Full body measurement taken a copy of which will be provided, discuss the details of garment construction and any special requirements, view fabric samples, view our catalogue of finished garments enabling you to see the quality of our work, feel free to try on any samples.  Please bring any reference images you may have.

Commission agreement

  When all measurements and requirements have been discussed we will draw up a commission agreement stating everything discussed during the consultation. 

This document will outline all the details of the project and will include 

• Design sketch or reference image 

• Fabric samples 

• Deadline for completion and any fitting appointments required, depending on the complexity of the garment 

• Details of any deposit required and when the full fee will be payable 

• Payment details 

This agreement ensures that LLC has understood all your requirements and that you, the client, is kept informed of the garments progress 

Deposit

  Once we receive your deposit work will begin on your garment.  Fabrics will be purchased and patterns cut.  The lead time given will start the day following receipt of funds.    

Fitting

To ensure a perfect fit we will want to see you in person at the Studio, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham.  Body measurements will be checked, especially if a significant period have time has elapsed.  The garment will have raw edges, hems etc. It will be pinned to fit.  During this stage please wear the undergarments you have for the occasion and bring the shoes you are going to wear. 

You may need more than one fitting due to the complexity of the garment.

Once the final fitting has been carried out we cannot make any alterations.  The garment will be finished to those measurements.

Collection

We prefer an in person collection from our studio. This is so you can try the garment on and check you are happy with the quality and fit. 

If you are unable to collect in person we can arrange for a courier.

Payment

  Before collection we will require full payment as agreed in the commission agreement .
